Clinical Supervision
for LMSWs in Texas
In-person in Colleyville and online throughout Texas

For Texas LMSWs seeking collaborative, supportive, and trauma-informed guidance to improve your clinical intervention and diagnostic skills, develop you professional identity, and achieve independent licensure.
I believe supervision should prepare you to practice confidently and independently long after our work together ends, and quality supervision can help you do that.
Hi, I’m Angie.
With more than 20 years of experience as a social worker, I bring a trauma-informed, attachment-focused lens to supervision, along with experience across a variety of clinical settings. My approach is collaborative and supportive, and I’ll meet you where you are in your development as a clinician. Over time, I’ll help you strengthen your clinical reasoning and build the confidence to navigate complex clinical situations more independently.
In group supervision, we learn from one another. You’ll hear different perspectives, explore cases through multiple clinical lenses, and strengthen your ability to conceptualize cases, make thoughtful treatment decisions, and determine your own next steps. I’ll ask questions, offer feedback, and bring in approaches such as CBT, EMDR, EFT, and IFS when relevant, while helping you develop your own clinical identity and judgment.
My supervision model focuses on:
-
Strengthening clinical reasoning, case conceptualization, diagnosis, and treatment planning
-
Developing confidence in choosing and applying appropriate interventions
-
Integrating trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and evidence-based approaches
-
Navigating ethical, regulatory, and social justice considerations in clinical practice
-
Preparing you to practice independently with confidence

Things We'll Work on Together
Assessment, Diagnosis & Case Conceptualization
Learn to understand the whole client through a person-in-environment lens, including symptoms, development, relationships, culture, systems, trauma, strengths, and other contributing factors. We'll also cover differential diagnosis when diagnostic criteria overlap.
Texas Board Rules & Licensure
Become comfortable navigating Texas social work rules, licensing requirements, documentation expectations, and professional responsibilities. We’ll focus not only on knowing the rules, but also understanding how they apply to your everyday practice.
Professional Identity & Clinical Confidence
Discover who you are as a clinical social worker and narrow down your clinical niche. Over time, you'll become more confident in making independent clinical decisions and know when and how to seek ongoing consultation after you are independently licensed.
Treatment Planning & Clinical Interventions
Learn to translate your case conceptualization into meaningful treatment goals and choose interventions that fit the client and their needs. Explore cases from different perspectives and modalities, including CBT, attachment-based approaches, EMDR, EFT, and IFS-informed work.
ASWB Clinical Exam Preparation
Prepare for the clinical licensing exam by strengthening your clinical reasoning and learning how to approach ASWB-style questions. We can focus on identifying area where you need additional preparation and focus intentionally on exam strategy.
Compassion Fatigue & Self Care

Ethics & Professional Responsibility
Learn to apply the NASW Code of Ethics to real-world situations, including responsibilities to clients, colleagues, employers and practice settings, the social work profession, and broader society. Develop the critical thinking needed to navigate ethical situations that are not always clear cut.
Cultural Humility & Decolonizing Clinical Work
Develop greater awareness of how culture, identity, privilege, power, oppression, and larger systems affect our clients and our clinical work. We'll question the assumptions built into mental health systems, while approaching clients with cultural humility.
Private Practice & Career Development
Explore the practical and professional considerations of building a career that fits your goals, including private practice when that is part of your plan. Benefit from real-world discussions about the business side of clinical social work.
